The Stones Fest
Your rock band has been kidnapped by Lord Borem who wants to steal your mates talent to become the best guitarist on Earth. Help Marble, the guitarist, to rescue his friends using your rock cycle knowledge. This game features a full story and a practice mode. In story mode, your students will go over a complete lesson about rock formation and geological processes. You'll rescue your friends by creating rocks of each type, collect all the patches for your vest, and defeat Lord Borem in an epic rock cycle knowledge battle. The practice mode offers a summary of the same rock cycle topics in a shorter gameplay -- it's perfect to prepare your students before an assessment.

mc_ESS_10410 | Crystallization of magma is a very slow geologic process. | ✓ |
mc_ESS_10416 | Different geologic processes occur at different rates of time, from the scale of fractions of a second to billions of years. | ✓ |
mc_ESS_10439 | Folding, faulting, and breaking are geologic processes due to tectonic plate movement that cause physical changes in rocks. | ✓ |
mc_ESS_10442 | Geologic processes can occur on a microscopic to global-level scale. | X |
mc_ESS_10443 | Geologic processes, such as the rock and water cycles, involve the cycling of energy and matter from one form to another. | X |
mc_ESS_10463 | Igneous rocks form from cooled magma or lava. | ✓ |
mc_ESS_10481 | Metamorphic rocks form from other rocks that have been changed by heat or pressure. | ✓ |

Instructions
The game offers a simplified UI and clear instructions to guide your kids over each activity, playable in your chromebooks and ipads.
During The Stones concert you'll have to prove your guitar skills with a fun simon-say mechanic to strum your guitar. After Lord Borem kidnaps your mates, you'll defeat the Soulless Managers in a rock n' slash game. Rock'em off to turn them into your fans, and travel to the Rock Cycle Temple under the Earth's crust. Learn about the different geologic processes involved in the rock cycle, and turn the 5 torches to summon the rock statues where your friends are hostage. Save each of your friends by running over the geological processes that form each rock type and close the stone doors that Lord Borem uses to cast his minions. Finally, defeat lord borem by putting your knowledge to the test in a fun rock'n answer battle.
Practice mode is much shorter and you can directly jump into recapping each geological processes of the rock cycle and rock types, and battle Lord Borem once again.
